Welcome! I am Laura, and as a Doula and Holistic Birth practitioner based in Cambourne, Cambridge, UK. I support women through pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. I aim to encourage a positive understanding and attitude towards birth and I support the belief in a woman’s ability to birth her baby how and where she chooses.

I am a mother to a beautiful 11 year old girl called Amina and a busy 9 year old Adam, both born at home in water in Greenwich, London where au used to live and work. I love working with women to support them on their journey into motherhood whether it’s their first or fifth baby! Every birth I have supported is a gift that I cherish, a true honour to be part of and experience alongside the powerful women who make birth happen so beautifully.

I am a qualified Holistic Birth Practicioner having studied under Olivia Seck of Birthing Wisdom. I am qualified in birth and postnatal support as well as antenatal childbirth education. The course is a year long and has supported my growth and development both as a doula and as a woman with a calling. Olivia’s wisdom is something that is not shared sparingly and in teaching us how to find support and well being for ourselves as women and as doulas, she has equipped us with the essential ingredients to truly be prepared and present with our clients. I only hope to embody these lessons within my practice and service to you.

I have experience of supporting first and second time mums, women affected by birth trauma and sexual violence as well as a woman who literally breathed her baby into the world! I have experience supporting women, at home, birth centre and hospital. This includes experience with induction, assisted birth, water birth and C Section. I have experienced using homeopathy in birth by permission and as directed by my clients. I have experience working with and specifically supporting partners through the birth process in order for them to be present and feel confident supporting their partner at the birth themselves.

I have experience supporting women and families in the UK, Tanzania, Kenya and remotely via online sessions.

I am very comfortable supporting families in their spiritual practices before and during labour, for greeting the baby on arrival and in helping arrange naming ceremonies/blessings. I have also given birth to two beautiful babies (at different times) at home, in water with the support of a doula and my husband. I am a recognised Doula UK birth doula and have been practicing as a birth doula for 13 years.
